Maya Weekend - weekend group tour

Itinerary

At school we begin with a short explanation of our intercultural trip to the Riviera Maya. Then we are headed to the "Felipe Carillo" harbor, where we meet the El Senor community and our local guides. In the afternoon we take part in a bicycle tour to "La Laguna Azul" (the blue lagoon) where we have enough time to set up our campsite upon arrival. Afterwards we will explore the surroundings together with our guides. Camping evening meal.

Day 2: Senor - Tihosuco - Kantemó

Early in the morning we pack our bags and ride to "El Senor" by bike, where a special breakfast awaits us. Before we are headed to "Tihosuco" to visit arts and crafts workshop there, the local guides will demonstrate us their customs and traditions. Before going to "Kantemo Community", we will visit the Mayan community in their cotton plants. In the afternoon we are headed towards cavern (caves) by bike. There we get cave exploration instructions from our tours guides. Then we continue our bicycle tour towards "Laguna Chichankanab" where we set up our campsite and have dinner.

Day 3: Kantemó - Carrillo Puerto

Today we will enjoy a delicious breakfast on the lagoon shore; as an optional activity you may ride a canoe or swim in the lagoon. Having packed our stuff, we ride back to the Kantemó community by bike to continue our trip to "Carrillo  Puerto" where we are invited to dinner together with our tour guides. Return to Playa del Carmen.
