Day 1: Arrival in Cancún and transfer to Playa del Carmen

Arrival in Playa del Carmen, accommodation in Fiesta Bananas Hotel or a similar hotel.

Day 2: Playa del Carmen - Coba - Punta Laguna

8 a.m. departure from Hotel in Playa del Carmen to explore the archeology of the Coba ruins. We continue further to Punta Laguna (we strongly advise you to follow your tour guide's instructions for it is a nature reserve) where you could take a long walk searching for spider monkeys or just relax in or on the cenotes.

Optional activities: Biking, cable car and cenote (combined or separately), Camping in Punta Laguna. Included: admission to the nature reserve

Day 3: Punta Laguna - Hacienda San Miguel

Departure at 9:30a.m. this farm offers you an opportunity of participating in such traditional activities as cornfield work, cattle driving, horse-riding or simply exploring the area by bike.

Lodging in huts on the ranch (possibly shared accommodation).

Day 4: Hacienda San Miguel - Chichen Itzá - Yaxuna

A visit to two beautiful ancient Mayan towns. Departure at 9 a.m.

Cenote: Optional

Chichen Itzá ruins: incl. guided tour

Yaxuna Ruins: incl. guided tour

Lodging in archeological huts  (possibly shared accommodation)

Day 5: Yaxuna - Mérida

Spend a day in this wonderful city, also known as "the white city". Departure at 11 a.m., Merida the capital of Yucatan, exploring the city at night. Accommodation in Simple Hotel (possibly shared accommodation)

Day 6: Mérida - Celestún - Dzibilchaltún

Merida, the capital of Yucatan

Optional activities:

Day 7: Mérida - Uxmal - Oxkutzcab

Departure at 7 a.m.

Uxmal Ruins: incl. guided tour

Oxkutzcab colonial city: city walk, including a visit to the market

Camping in Chichancanab lagoon

Day 8: Oxkutzcab - Chichancanab - Dizuche - Tulum

Start at 8 a.m.

Chichancanab lagoon: hiking in the lagoon as well as swimming

Dizuche: Optional Maya Chaman

Camping in Tulum

Day 9: Tulum - Playa del Carmen

Tulum ruins: incl. guided tour

Optional activities:

Snorkeling tour in the coral reef of the Caribbean Sea
