Havana

The best thing about Havana is the city itself - its architecture, streets and famous promenades. This vibrant city is a scientific and cultural centre. Within its 47 km of coastline, you will find 20 km of beaches as well as places to go diving and deep-sea fishing. In the city you will find many buildings designed in the Colonial style and many fascinating parks, plazas and famous streets such as Calle Obispo. Havana has many historical spots all around the city, for ex. famous hotel Ambos Mundos where Hemingway used to stay, and even today his room 511 is set up in such a way as to preserve the memories of the great writer such as an empty Whisky bottle on the table and a writing machine.

Santa Clara

Santa Clara was founded in July 1589 by a group of Remedios' inhabitants who moved to this place in order to escape from pirates attacks. Santa Clara plays an important role in the 1958 Revolution: it was a place of the final battle including guerillas led by Che Guevara when the Batista dictatorship won in the end. Today you can visit a Revolution dedicated museum and a mausoleum of 'Comandante Ernesto Che Guevara' in the small town of Santa Clara. Plaza de la Revolución saw very significant 30-years Revolution Anniversary celebrations organised in this Cuban town. The main city-square 'Calixto Garcia' is adorned with pink and green marble and is worth visiting so that one can admire its beauty.

Trinidad

This city is considered to be one of Cuba’s main attractions. The traffic free, colonial district with its colourful houses and old, massive cobblestone crowns the rest of the city as its highest point. You can admire interesting details of colonial architecture when walking through the streets around Plaza Mayor. Especially famous are the high windows with their skilfully carved wooden bars that were replaced last century by iron bars. These so-called rejas invite the energetic street life into the house, rather than excluding it. Around Plaza Mayor, the most elegant square in Cuba, stand the city palaces of Trinidad’s richest families.
