Please note: From 1st May 2010, Music is the key element in the Cuban way of life, and greatly helps us to understand Cuban culture and its people. We offer you Drumming Courses in Cuba – including theoretical and practical exercises.
During your steady progress in a drumming class, we will teach you about different percussions instruments in Cuban music, their history and origins. Also, you will be practicing music with bongos and tumbadores, learn the correct hand/body playing posture and perfect forms of the beat. The Drumming Course will get you acquainted with 3 different style streams: the Son, Cha Cha Cha, and various Boleros. The classes are small in size (very individual) and are suitable for both, absolute beginners and highly advanced students.
As an accommodation option during your Drumming Course, we recommend the Aparthotel Montehabana in Miramar, a beautiful district of Havana located close to our Dance Academy.
