Day 1: Holguín - Bayamo
Arrival at Holguín airport. Your tour guide will be waiting for you and will go with you to Bayamo. After
a short tour of the city center you will have a delicious welcome meal in the restaurant, “La Bodega”.

Day 2: Bayamo - Manzanillo
Your cycle tour begins with a 70 kilometer trip to Manzanillo, a small harbor town on the coast which is
known mainly for sugar exporting and its crabs and lobsters. You could enjoy a magnificent view of the

Day 3: Manzanillo - Niquero
You’ll continue your journey on your trusty bicycle. Today’s destination, Niquero, is about 77 kilometers

Day 4: Niquero - Marea del Portillo
The stretch from Niquero to Marea del Portillo is somewhat more challenging as it crosses the foothills
of the Sierra Maestra. However you will be rewarded with an impressive panorama and you can relax in

Day 5: Marea del Portillo - La Mula - Sierra del Mar
You will continue your cycling tour along the Caribbean coast: enjoy the unique view! In spring you could
witness a unique natural spectacle: hundreds of crabs trying to clamber up steep banks, some of which
tower up to 300 meters high. Further along your route you will pass the base of Piquo Turquino before
having a picnic and travelling the remainder of the way to Sierra Mar in the bus. Approximately 60

Day 6: Sierra del Mar - Santiago de Cuba
After today’s 60 kilometer long journey you will reach Santiago de Cuba, where Cuba’s passion and
African heritage are most evident. The city is also known as the secret capital by many of Cuba’s fans.
The evening will be free for you to do as you please; you might enjoy listening to live music in the Casa
de la Trova, for example.

Day 7: Cobre - Santiago de Cuba
After breakfast, the bus will take you to the starting point of today’s ride of 25 kilometers to El Cobre.
The pilgrimage church Caridad del Cobre was built at the beginning of the 17th Century for the Holy
Virgin, who was the patron saint of the slaves working in the mines. El Cobre’s dramatic location and
fascinating history captivate its visitors.
You will spend the afternoon in the center of Santiago, where you might like to visit the museum of the
26th July.

Day 8: Santiago de Cuba - Playa Verraco - Santiago de Cuba
Your day will start with an approximately 35 kilometer long bike ride to the beach of Verraco, which
invites you to linger. After enjoying the beach for a while the bus will take you back to Santiago, where
you will have the rest of the day to do as you please.

Day 9: Santiago de Cuba - Baracoa
Today you will cycle further towards the east. To begin with you’ll go with the bus for a few kilometers
before cycling along the picturesque coast (approximately 40 kilometers). After a break and a bus
transfer through the mountains of Sierra de Guntanámo you’ll resume cycling for a further 30 kilometers
to Baracoa, the oldest colonial city in Latin America.

Day 10: Baracoa - Playa Maguana - Baracoa
After breakfast you will enjoy a bike ride to the amazing white beach of Playa Maguana (approximately
30 kilometers). After a swim you will be transferred to Baracoa, where you can visit the town center.

Day 11: Baracoa - Boca de Yumuri - Baracoa
Today’s somewhat hilly bike ride takes you through unique flora and fauna to Boca de Yumuri, a river
estuary. You will visit the fishing village of the same name and will have the opportunity to go on a boat
tour (not included in the price). After refreshing yourself in the water you will be transferred to Baracoa.

Day 12: Baracoa - Guardalavaca
Today marks the end of your cycling tour. The bus will take you to your hotel in Guardalavaca.
